An average detached house requires 4.5 tonnes of pellets per year (corresponding to 21,500 kWh), which means that pellet heating systems currently still save on energy costs compared to fossil fuels at today's prices*: 60 % compared to oil and 55 % compared to gas! This is not only the case for the boiler itself: GILLES Touch, for example, allows intuitive heating circuit control, by enabling users themselves to regulate heating times and room temperatures very easily for each room. GILLES Touch mobile allows the heating system to be remotely monitored and controlled via smartphone or tablet.

Suitable for any room situation

GILLES systems offer all the options needed for adjustment to the room conditions. If the fuel storage room is next to the boiler room, a pellet screw conveyor with the ability to handle changes in height and direction is recommended.
For all other room conditions, the pellet suction system is the best solution. With a powerful suction turbine, it is possible to store pellets up to 20 metres away from the boiler room.

A solution even without a boiler room

GILLES makes it possible to have a system without a dedicated storage room. The height-adjustable GILLES pellet box, which allows dust-free filling from the outside, can be placed directly next to the boiler and holds up to 9 tonnes of pellets. Alternatively, a day container or week container can be installed, which can be filled with fuel by the sackload. And even if there is no boiler room, GILLES offers a convenient solution in the form of a heating container near the building.

Whether for large buildings, agricultural or trade applications, or a local heating network, woodchip heating systems are a convenient and environmentally friendly solution! The woodchips come directly from the forest (wood remnants, damaged timber from thinning, waste wood), consist of 100 % wood and have a variable gross calorific value depending on the type of wood and the moisture content. Particularly in the case of commercial businesses that process wood, it is also possible to utilise production waste or biomass with similar properties to wood for heat generation. GILLES systems can be designed especially for this purpose.

In addition, the rotary feeder, developed by GILLES and made entirely of metal, shreds larger pieces of material and protects the system from burn-back. The proven step grate ash removal system is ideal for transporting large quantities of ash to the ash bin. Optimum discharge system

Various discharge systems have become established on the market to suit specific requirements (such as user's own silo, bunker for fuel storage, size of the storage room, etc.). GILLES offers all versions, from leaf spring and articulated arm to push floor discharge, and designs your system – whether single or multi boiler charging – for optimum performance!

Flexible customisation as required: example from a vineyard

1.6 tonnes of vine clippings are pruned every year per hectare of vineyard. The net calorific value of around 3 kg of air dried vine shoots corresponds to a litre of fuel oil! This makes them a perfect complement to woodchips – particularly with the discharge system specially developed by GILLES, which efficiently charges the boiler with shredded vine shoots.

Maximum efficiency, contemporary heating comfort and operation that couldn't be simpler – a GILLES system makes heating with wood the perfect, convenient alternative to fossil fuels. Thanks to their high efficiency, our wood gasification boilers with a contemporary design are ideal for detached houses, two-family houses, and even for smaller commercial businesses. Logs up to 75 cm in length make the best use of the hopper and maximise the combustion duration. GILLES wood gasification boilers keep wood consumption and heating costs impressively low.

Very high efficiency

Wood gasification boilers are similar to conventional log burning stoves, but achieve very high efficiency with low emissions. The logs are burned in the first combustion chamber, and the flue gas produced is used in the second combustion chamber: at temperatures of over 1000 degrees Celsius, this wood gas is converted into usable heat with over 90 % efficiency. Emissions from GILLES wood gasification boilers into the environment are therefore very low.

Powerful boilers from GILLES can be used in applications ranging from hotels and commercial nurseries to agriculture and industrial businesses! As a leading manufacturer, we have earned an outstanding reputation in these sectors for the robustness of our boilers, and the technology used in our products is perfectly designed to meet all practical demands. By using renewable fuels or utilising their own waste wood, users can enjoy substantially lower heating costs, leading to a rapid return on their investment.

Optimised combustion for practical applications

With conventional methods, it is particularly hard to make use of waste wood (especially in the joinery and agriculture sectors), because these biogenic fuels (poplar, sawdust and vine shoots, among many others) cause slagging in heating systems not suited to this purpose. With two different combustion systems, GILLES optimises the boiler for the required use. The underfeed grate boiler is designed for biofuels with extremely low to medium residual moisture and achieves very high efficiency. However, if woodchips with a higher moisture content or the biogenic fuels mentioned above are to be used, this requires the infeed grate boiler system.

Easy control and adjustment of parameters

The combustion process has to be adjusted for optimum utilisation of the biogenic fuels mentioned previously. With the specially developed GILLES Touch Industry industrial control unit, this can be done easily and intuitively. A practical 10.1" colour touchscreen, state of the art controller and defined processes allow easy adjustment of all settings. The control unit can be individually tailored to customer requirements thanks to a raft of extension options. Cutting-edge features such as automatic fault messages by email or the option of remote access by GILLES technicians ensure safe and reliable long-term operation.

Identical, high quality components mean lower maintenance costs and allow different customer requirements to be met quickly, with the best possible end result.
The system components used are from Bernecker&Rainer and meet the highest technical industry standards. Thanks to their wear-resistant semiconductor technology, the hybrid motor starters are up to ten times more durable than mechanically controlled motor overload relays.
